Welcome to the CAET-JWOCN Connection

The Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy ( CAET) is proud to be the first International partner with the Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing (JWOCN) which is a premier peer reviewed journal for the wound, ostomy and continence specialty.

The Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy –Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Connection (CAET-JWOCN Connection) provides members with publishing opportunities in JWOCN in the form of a short article in the CAET  Feature Section or to be published as an original manuscript.

What are the benefits to you as a CAET member and Journal affiliate?

  • The JWOCN is rated in the top 2 percent of refereed nursing journals indexed in MEDLINE and CINAHL
  • This prestigious nursing journal has gained a significant increase in international readers

CAET and WOCN has a long- term contractual agreement in place. This will ensure continued CAET membership benefits and serve to develop CAET’s international presence as leaders in Enterostomal Therapy Nursing specializing in wound, ostomy and continence care by contributing to publications on evidence-based clinical practice, education, research and policy development.

Do you have the following?

  • Do you have a clinical practice challenge or an innovative project which is changing or advancing ETN practice?
  • Have you developed an educational program to benefit patients and or staff and would you like to communicate this to the ETN world?
  • Have you conducted a survey, clinical trial or would you like to collaborate in research?
  • Are you writing an original manuscript for publication? Consider JWOCN first.
The 2016 article submission schedule:
  • January/February publication – October 1 is the deadline for submission
  • March/April publication – December 2 is the deadline for submission
  • May/June publication – February 11 is the deadline for submission
  • July/August publication – April 7 is the deadline for submission
  • September/October publication – June 9 is the deadline for submission
  • November/December publication – August 7 is the deadline for submission
